Well I hope they will, and even if they do someting it won't be nearly enough. Besides, if they had proper gun laws this wouldn't of happend in the first place.

Gun control in this county has turned into a strickly policial issue which the politicos will use to garner the most votes. Beyond that, meaning has been injected into the fray by countries who have adopted forms of gun control that have proven to be effective. But I hope they leave gun control alone, there are too many important issues to be decided in the next ten years to waste yet another moment on gc. The real issue is why nobody noticed the guy was whacked. We as US citizens have got to become pro active and realize action needs to be taken to divert those troubled souls from taking steps we all regret. Wake up out there. These are your friends ignored who do these things, not some bits and pieces of metal.

No and no. I don't think gun control will ever stop killers. They will get them illegally or find another way. It's just like drugs. They are illegal....everyone still get's them anyway. Gun control just punishes the honest people who want them for personal protection. If anything, it should be legalized to carry in all states to protect yourself.
The idea that passing laws is going to reduce the number of guns on the street is a ridiculous notion. What happened when they banned drugs? Huge international criminal organizations went into the business of supplying drugs to whomever wants them. What would happen if they ban guns? Same thing. Prostitution is illegal and you can go on craigslist and have a pro at your house in a couple hours. You can hope and wish all you want, but nothing that anyone could ever do will stop people from killing each other. Your only choices are to put a gun in your own mouth and pull the trigger, or deal with it because that is human nature.

Nope, and this type question always pops up after a campus killing. I for one will NEVER give up my weapons. I am a law abiding citizen, and I use mine for self protection, and target shooting. And I see no reason to have them taken away because of what a criminal did.
